LIM SIEW BOK, Founder

Lim Siew Bok received his associateship in Architecture in Western Australian Institute of Technology in year 1973, he then began his international architecture career when he joined Brian J. Kidd, an architecture firm in Western Australia. In 1975 he moved back to Penang and joined The City Council of Penang Island as the Architect, supervising the Council’s building projects as well as scrutinizing on building or layout plans submitted by registered Architect. At the same time, he also worked as a part-time lecturer at School of Housing, Building and Planning, University Science of Malaysia, sharing his knowledge as an Architect. Mr. Lim later joined Architects Team 3, and he had been the Resident Architect & Deputy Project Manager for “KOMTAR” project, Penang. Some of his notable projects include the Royal Malaysian Air Force in Subang, City Garden Condominium, East Coast Relocation Project, “Aged Living In Valued Environment”, among others.

OOI KIEM WOOI, Founder

Ooi Kiem Wooi received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Housing, Building & Planning (Architecture) from the University of Science Malaysia in 1990. With over two decades span of experience as consulting architect, Mr. Ooi is greatly knowledgeable of the quality of space planning and the aesthetic of architectural detailing, as well as the importance of structure, material and costing. These make him very particular in the TOTAL QUALITY MANAGEMENT of all project undertaken. Mr. Ooi has worked on a number of notable projects in the northern region including St. Giles Wembley in Penang, Olive Tree Hotel, Sacred Heart School, College Heights Utara, among others.

Ar. OOI HOCK YANG, Principal Architect

Ar. HY Ooi is currently a registered architect with the Board of Architects, Malaysia (LAM), with a Master of Architecture from University of Tasmania. He earned his Bachelor of Environmental Design from the same university after graduating from Taylor’s College. HY Ooi has been involved in various stages of a diverse range of projects, including hospitals, institutions, commercial and residential developments, from preliminary architectural designs until the final completion. His extensive experience and comprehensive involvement give him an edge in project management.

Ar. TAN YEONG KEAT, Principal Architect

Ar. Tan YK obtained his B. of Science (HBP) a n d B. of Architecture from University Sceince of Malaysia. He is a registered Architect with Board of Architect, Malaysia (LAM). Tan YK has developed a considerable amount of experience and expertise in a broad range of projects including industrial, housing, office, hotel and institutional. Before joining EVO Architects, he has worked for Kooi Keat Architect a n d LSB Akitek, actively involved in some of the notable projects in Penana such as The Cantonment by Malton, The Light Hotel Seberang Jaya, The Olive Tree Hotel Penang, The Maven Townhouse by Reka Indah and many more. His comprehensive portfolio has allowed him to develop strengths in client liaison, coordination of authority and consultants from inception to completion of the projects.
